When Linda was a small child she moved with her family to Bakersfield, California. She graduated East Bakersfield High School in 1964. Linda married the love of her life, Ron, on May 7, 1965 and soon established a home in Visalia. Linda cherished the lifelong friendships her family made on Howard Avenue. She had a love for tennis and could always be found gardening. Linda worked for the Visalia Unified School District for over 25 years. She served as an instructional aide at Washington Elementary School in the late 70’s and early 80’s and became a clerk at Houston Elementary School in 1985. Her co-workers became a part of her extended family and always remained close to her heart. Linda enjoyed trips to Laughlin, Nevada where she played her favorite game, Keno. Linda was a beloved wife, mother and Grammy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, L.B. and Irene Kennedy and her brother, Jess Kennedy.
Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ron; her son Brian and daughter-in-law Karen and her two grandchildren, Aidan and McKenna, all of Visalia. She is also survived by her cousins Gene and Peggy Richmond of Richmond, CA; her sister-in-law Sara Ogburn and brother-in-law John Ogburn of Georgia and many extended family and friends too numerous to mention.
