Lorraine Estrada, lovingly known as Nina Lorraine, Auntie Lorraine, and “The Candy Lady,” passed away on October 1st 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, creativity, and memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Born on August 15th 1960, Lorraine spent the majority of her life in Visalia, California, where she built a life surrounded by family, love, and the things that brought her joy. She was a proud and die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, and her loyalty to her team was something everyone who knew her could count on.
Lorraine found happiness in creating. She loved making cakes, crafting, and spending time with her beloved dogs. But her greatest gift was the love she gave to others. She was one of the most non-judgmental and accepting people anyone could ever meet. Lorraine loved you for exactly who you were. She never asked anyone to change, and she had a beautiful way of making people feel accepted, welcomed, and loved.
Although she never had grandchildren of her own, Lorraine proudly embraced the title of “Grandtie,” as she lovingly called herself. She took great pride in being there for her nieces and nephews and had an enormous amount of love for her family. She was a wonderful aunt and cherished the relationships she had with those around her.
Lorraine was a beautiful person, inside and out. Her kindness, warmth, acceptance, and unconditional love made her truly special. She had a heart that made room for everyone, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through the many people whose lives she touched.
Lorraine is survived by her beloved husband, Christopher Estrada; her only daughter, Cecelia Estrada; and her four cherished fur babies.
She is also survived by her mother, Dorcas Arias, and Dorcas’s longtime partner, Rosa Peterson; sisters Jean Munoz and Sylvia Cordova; brothers Robert J. Arias and Frankie Arias; and her extended Provencio family of aunts and uncles, along with her many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lasara Provencio; stepfather, Brijdo Provencio; father, Arturo Arias; brother, Charles “Charlie” Arias; sister, Evelyn Hernandez; Alex Provencio; and Margie.
Lorraine leaves behind far more than memories. She leaves behind the love she gave, the laughter she shared, the family she cherished, and the countless lives she made brighter simply by being herself.
She will be missed beyond measure, loved beyond words, and remembered forever.
Rest peacefully, Nina Lorraine.
Your love will live on in all of us.
I love you to the moon and back.
