M. Casteel Cornelius, age 95 passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Casteel was born July 24, 1925 in West, Mississippi to Malcolm and Marie M.Cade. Casteel married Richard D. Cornelius in 1945. She loved water skiing, traveling, and Tray Club activities functions. For fifty years, Casteel enjoyed the football games of USC and attended every game possible until about two years ago, when she was no longer able.
Casteel was preceded in death by her father Malcolm Cade, her mother Marie M. Cade, and her husband Richard D. Cornelius. Casteel is survived by daughter Cassie M. and husband John Armstrong; and daughter Kristy Ryan; grandchildren Nicole Hernandez, Adrienne Stalnaker, Richard Ryan, Sean Ryan, Courtney Roberts, eight great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel 1120 West Goshen Avenue, Visalia CA 93291 on Sunday November 8, 2020 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. A Graveside Service will be held at Visalia Public Cemetery District 1300 West Goshen Avenue, Visalia CA 93291 on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 12:00 noon.
