

She was preceded in death by her parents Juan and Viviana Torres, her husband Pedro G. Ramirez; sons Juan T. Soto, Ruben G. Soto, Arthur R. Ayala, Anthony Ramirez and Pete Ramirez and great granddaughter Candice Altamirano.
Madeline is survived by her two daughters, Sandra Soto and Patty Rios, both of Visalia and 17 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren; and 22 great great grandchildren; brother Jesse Torres of Visalia and sister Dolores Gomez of Redondo Beach, CA along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Madeline married Pedro G. Ramirez in Los Angeles, California on January 31, 1953. They moved to Visalia in 1959. She was a seamstress when her children were young and was a housekeeper for numerous families in Visalia for many years. She enjoyed knitting, shopping, cooking and baking for her family, and working in her beautiful yard. Madeline most enjoyed times spent with her family and coloring with her great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 3 – 6 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 6 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1908 N. Court in Visalia on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Visalia Public Cemetery.
