Hi Dad! 

Its Amazing its been five years since you left. Its funny how I was reminiscing about you today and its exactly the day you left. I think of you all the time. Its sad you can't be here to watch your grandchildren grow up and have children, and their children have children. I'm already a Grandma to our first granddaughter. She is so beautiful. She's our "Mexicacasian" girl Mia, just like me. Love you!

Thinking about you dad comes with memories of your laugh and smile. Its been two years since you passed.  So strange not to have you here and talk to you on the phone.  I hope you are resting in peace. I hope.

In Loving Memory of our father, Magdaleno Portillo Garcia, MJ as he called himself, is survived by his two daughters, two sons, 3 granddaughters, 6 grandsons, and his five surviving siblings, two sisters and three bothers and too many nieces and nephews to count.

Our Father learned so many things throughout his life, especially toward the end of it.  He was studying many biblical topics and researching history.  He was always learning.  He made amends with many people in his life and had come to the realization of the things he did wrong, but also the things he had done right.  

You will be missed daddy. May our thoughts of you be Blessed and may Peace be on all of those who think of you and remember the changed man you had become and were becoming.  I love you daddy, and I am so grateful for times I had with you throughout my life and over the phone.
