He was born in El Paso, Texas on December 10, 1931 to Nicolas and Hortensia Alderete.
Manuel is survived by four sons, Jesse, Mike, Nick and Emanuel; five daughters, Aurora, Dolores, Angie, Sandra and Juana; one brother; two sisters and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Manuel Jr. and two daughters Rosie and Sophie.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 4 - 6 p.m. with Praying of the Rosary following at 6 p.m. at St. Catherine's Catholic Church of Dinuba. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 11:30 am. at St. Catherine's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Smith Mountain Cemetery in Dinuba, California.
