Marcia Anne Lenmark Staley

Marcia Anne Staley was born April 5, 1924 in Stillwater, Minnesota to Carl R. and Cora A. Lenmark. She attended local schools and graduated from Stillwater High School. She entered the Navy W.A.V.E.S. to serve her country as Yeoman First Class for over 2 ½ years. Marcia worked at Bakersfield Savings for 23 years. Marcia served as volunteer secretary for Christians in Actions for 20 years. She always enjoyed knitting, needle crafts, gardening, music, reading, history and traveling. Marcia and husband, Bob traveled the United States and Canada for four years until he went to his heavenly home in 1988. She is also preceded in death by her grandson, Eddie Mason and her brother Mase Lenmark. Marcia is survived by her children, Mark Groves and wife Sandy and Cyndi Whitehead and husband, Michael; three grandchildren, Cora Mead and husband Donny, Casey Groves and Tisha Longmire and husband, Michael; five great grandchildren Caleb and Drake Mead, Amber Anne Mason, Trevon and Makala Miller; sister Lorna Peterson and brother Bruce Lenmark and many friends. Visitation will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia, California on Monday, February 18, 2013 from 3 – 6 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Kingsburg Cemetery in Kingsburg, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that remembrances may be made to Christians in Actions, PO Box 728, Woodlake, CA 93286 and/ or Bridges for Peace, PO Box 33145, Tulsa, OK Tributes and condolences may be made at Arrangements entrusted to Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. It was a beautiful service today. Marcia was so special. It was neat to hear what she wrote in 1976 to be read on this very sad day. She touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. I know she is imprinted in mine. I'll miss her sweet face smiling and her wise words. Bless Her Heart. Sincerely,
