Maria Margarita Barron

Maria will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection—cherished by those who knew her for her steady devotion, her gentle strength, and the quiet wisdom she offered through both words and example. Beloved for her kind-hearted nature and compassionate presence, she carried herself with honesty and thoughtfulness, meeting life with resilience and a faithful spirit that uplifted others.

From the earliest days, Maria’s humor could lighten a room, and her courage was unmistakable. She was a fighter, and when it came to family—or anyone she cared about—she stood as a loyal protector, selfless in her willingness to put others first and inspirational in the way she faced what came with steadfast resolve.

Maria’s life was rooted in care. Her passion was always caring for someone, whether at work with patients and co-workers or at home with family and friends. Hard-working and generous, she expressed love in practical, meaningful ways—especially through cooking. She made sure everyone was fed, whether she was preparing a meal herself or ordering out, because to Maria, no one should go without comfort or nourishment when she could provide it.

She also found joy in the things that made her smile: elephants, which she believed brought good luck; Betty Boop and Wonder Woman; and being a devoted 49er fan. Above all, she loved spending time with family and friends, especially with her son Eddie, with whom she enjoyed watching wrestling. Her presence was a steady one—gentle, humorous, and loyal—and even in moments of disagreement, she remained the kind of person who would still show up, offering comfort when it was needed most.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Maria Trinidad Rodriguez Martinez, and Jose Aniceto Ramirez Martinez; her sister in law Isabel and brother in law Colin; her brothers, Pablo, Gilberto, Joe and Ricardo; and her nieces, Carmen and Angela.

Maria is survived by her son, Edward Barron; her siblings, Juanita, Sofia, Gloria(Paz), Isidra, Mary, Bertha, Frank (Michelle), Thomas, Javier (Jenny); her ex-husband, Liborio Barron; and her nieces and nephews, Mia (Philip), MaryAnn, Mario (Analie), David, J.R., Angel, Victor, Fernando, Hector, Gustavo (Brianna), Alexis, Joshua, Christopher, Anthony, Nicholas, Daniel, Franco, and Erika as well as great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to Kaweah Health Medical Center, USC Norris Cancer Center, everybody at Dr. Bryson's Cancer Care, Kaweah Health Specialty Clinic, Dr. Pamela Scott, and the Sierra Pacific Arthritis Team for providing the care she needed. The family is forever grateful.

Maria often said, “Have faith and everything will be alright.” That message—simple, faithful, and true to the way she lived—will remain a lasting comfort to all who loved her.
