Marilyn Ruth Watts Chapman of Visalia, age 84 went to the Lord on June 8, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Helen Watts, her brother Glenn Watts Sr, and granddaughter Angela Flood. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Donald Chapman and their four children; Jeff Chapman of Fresno, Lisa (Terril) Flood of Pittsburgh, TX, Robert (Diana) Chapman of Clovis and Suzee Chapman of Visalia. Marilyn and Don adopted all four children. Marilyn is survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Marilyn graduated from South Gate High, CA. in 1955. She had a love for show tunes, music, sewing, and played the Marimba in which she received many awards and was on television.
She worked for the Paso Robles Schools in the cafeteria and then moved on to aid the teacher in special ed. Marilyn and Don started a business called Sugarless Shack. They sold ice cream from their garage and eventually owned 6 stores; Paso Robles, Atascadero, San Luis Obispo and 3 in Fresno, Ca. Marilyn and Don attended Church of Christ in Paso Robles, Tulare, Visalia CA, and Cashmere WA.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Visalia, CA. Marilyn had a great sense of humor, beautiful, very loving, generous, and will be missed greatly by all that knew and love her. The family is having a private memorial service.
