

Max Tommy McElmurry, better known as Tom, passed away at home peacefully with his family on Tuesday July 26, 2022. Tom was born on September 17, 1942, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. His family later moved to Exeter and then to Visalia. Tom graduated from Mt Whitney High School in 1960 and after graduation Tom joined the Navy. After getting out of the Navy, he met and married Diane Rolfo in November of 1967 and were happily married for 55 years.
Tom worked for Diamond International printing for 37 years where he made many friends and there were several that lasted for many years after. Tom will be remembered as a loving husband, father, outstanding provider, coach, brother, uncle, and an awesome papa.
He is survived by his wife Diane, two sons, Doug (Madalyn) McElmurry, Jeff McElmurry, and three grandchildren, Micaella, Braden, and Cade McElmurry who loved and will miss him dearly. He is also survived by siblings Karen (Mike) Powell, Diana (Manny) Alvarez, Terry (Felton) McElmurry, as well as loving sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley Casey and Richard Rolfo, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents Marie and Tommie McElmurry, stepdad Lee Collins, brother Lonnie McElmurry, sisters Joyce Matthews and Cindy Brown.
He was so loved by his family and will be missed by many.

A memorial will be held at 11:00 am on August 17 at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W Goshen Ave, Visalia.
