

Maxine was born on December 11, 1941 in Comanchee, Oklahoma to Ethel and Jess Joslin. Her family moved to Bakersfield, CA in 1948. She attended North High in Bakersfield. She was married in 1960, to Eldon Daniel, and soon thereafter moved to Fresno, California where Eldon attended Fresno State College and Maxine worked as a telephone operator many times taking split shifts to make ends meet.
In 1964, Maxine moved to Visalia, California where she spent the rest of her life.
She gave birth to two sons, Kevin and Brent Daniel in 1965 and 1971, respectively.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, 9 of her 10 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Eldon Daniel, Son, Kevin Daniel, Daughter in Law, Charlene Daniel and grandchildren, Allison and Jonathan Daniel, all of Visalia,
California, Son, Brent Daniel, Daughter in Law, Julie Daniel, and grandchildren, Sydney, LoLo and Carly Daniel, all of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, Sister, Joyce Ferguson of Bakersfield, and Sister in Law, Juanita Joslin of Springville, and many many loving nieces and nephews.
Maxine dedicated her life to her children and raising them through their school age years. She was the quintessential overachieving homemaker. She was also involved in many philanthropic volunteer activities during these years, including Conyer Elementary PTA, Visalia American Little League (where she ran the concession stand for years), Cub Scouts den mother, just to name a few.
After her kids were raised, she worked as a PBX operator for Kaweah Delta Hospital and was a long term employee at Bank of America, Visalia.
Maxine was loved by so many and set the tone for all those around her to be the shining light of giving, kindness and selflessness. She will be missed by many and her legacy will live on in those that she touched.
Visitation will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia from 8:30 am to 9:30 am on Friday, November 6, 2015 followed by funeral services at 10 am at Miller Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow immediately at Visalia Cemetery. A reception will be held at West Visalia Church of Christ immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family, per Maxine’s wishes, would request donations to be made to West Visalia Church of Christ in her name.
