Mindy Cheryl Benitez

After an inspirational battle with cancer, Mindy was taken home by her Lord on December 1, 2015. Mindy was raised with love in Lindsay, California by her mother, Debra Fay Holt and father, Richard James Holt, who taught her the importance of family. She spent her childhood loving, protecting, and playing with her younger sister, Ashley Margaret Medina of Tulare. Mindy graduated from Lindsay Senior High School in 1999. While in high school, Mindy met her one true love, Santiago Benitez, who she married in 2001. Mindy devoted her short life to her children, Isaiah Santiago Benitez and Danielle Alyse Benitez. She raised them with the same values of family, respect, and love which her family will continue to instill in them as they grow. Mindy's extended family and friends are as great as the impact she had on each of them. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and smile, her kind heart, and the strength of a true fighter.

A celebration of Mindy's life will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 10am at Miller Memorial Chapels, 1120 W Goshen Ave, Visalia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
