

Born October 5, 1919, Mrs. Stallion passed away on October 3, 2010 just two days shy of her ninety-first birthday. Mrs. Smith lead a full and varied life, she was President of the VFW Women's Auxiliary, a foster parent, and a receiving home parent for Tulare County CPS for 20 years. Her husband Virgil Stallion of Visalia survives Mrs. Stallion. preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Willingham of Visalia, O'Dell Howerton of Visalia, and Carl T. Smith father of her eight children. She is also preceded in death by her sons, Richard B. Smith of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Larry Carl Smith of Jacksonville, Oregon.
Mrs. Smith remains loved and cherished by her children Robert Frank Smith and his wife, Lynette of Visalia, Carline Smith-Yarbrough of West Plains, Missouri, Ronald Logan Smith and his wife Tanja of Nampa, Idaho, Jerry George Smith and his wife Penny of Jerome, Idaho, Blaine Logan Smith and his wife Dawn of Juneau, Alaska and Ruth Alice Jeffcoach Smith of Meadow Vista, California.
Nicknamed "Poochie" by her grandchildren, she ran a tight ship with her quick wit. She leaves 23 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Smith had a deep and caring love for her children and their families; she could be found many Saturday night playing pinochle with her family.
Visitation will be held on October 7, 2010 from 2-7 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel with Services on October 8th at 12:30 p.m. at Miller's. Arrangements under the direction of Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia, CA.
