Rachel Van Foeken, a resident of Ivanhoe, CA passed peacefully at the age of 51, to glorious life with Jesus Christ her Savior.
Known for her beautiful, loving smile and open heart, she was loved by many throughout Visalia.
Born in Olympia, WA. Rachel lived with her parents, Jim and Sharon Van Foeken and her brother Benjamin Van Foeken on their family citrus/fruit farm outside of Ivanhoe, CA. Benjamin and wife Britnee and daughters LaRoux and Myka reside in Salt Lake City, UT.
Her paternal grandparents were Frank Van Foeken and Dorothy (Van Foeken) Coffman of Cypress, CA. Her maternal grandparents were Henry and Jeneva Hoeks of Visalia, CA., of Visalia Christian Reformed Church.
Rachel loved animals and volunteered at the SPCA to comfort the animals there. She worked with her mother in keeping their home and in the garden with the roses which she loved. Rachel attended Golden West High School. She traveled to South California with her father Jim to work selling fruit at the Farmers' Market there and in Visalia. Rachel also attended the Creative Center Arts program in Visalia for 15 years, participating in theater, dance, drawing, beading, and creating art in the water color, pastel and colored pencil. Her work is lively and colorful, after featuring animals and roses.
Rachel accepted Jesus as her Saviour and was baptized at age 16 at Calvary Chapel of Visalia. She currently attended Legacy Church of Visalia with her boy friend, Khammay Hanoumane.
God took Rachel to Himself in her sleep, her hands folded in prayer. We will see her again in Heaven one day.
Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live" John 11:25
