Rebecca is preceded in death by her father Lyhew Benton Tidwell, her mother Nellie Mae Tidwell, and her grandson Porter Ryan Wadkins.
She is survived by her siblings, Melvie Carlson, Linda Guinn, Thelma Rossiter, Darrel Tidwell, her daughter Jackie Wadkins and son in law Nathaniel Wadkins, her grandson Ricky Wadkins and wife Kaylie Wadkins , her grand daughter Kayla Welch and husband Douglas Welch, her great grandchildren children, Coby, Kenny, Hope, Annabelle, Finely, and Presley, and many nieces and nephews.
Becky (as most called her) was described to be a bit of an odd duck as a kid. With fiery red curly hair and covered in freckles, she was often found playing off by herself, sitting on a can and drawing in the sand with a stick or playing with rollie pollies and ladybugs. This is how she earned her nickname doodle "bug" and so began her love for the little red and black insects. Another well known nickname of hers was Aunt Bub or Aunt Bubby which was given to her by her nieces and nephews.
She went on to be a proud, young, single mother to her first love, her one and only daughter, Jackie Wadkins. During Jackie's early childhood, Becky worked hard at a laundromat to provide a life for her baby until she enrolled herself in training to become a CNA. She worked as a CNA from the young age of 20 until she was 65. During that time she worked at various places such as; Visalia Convalescent, Sweet's Home Medical, and New Horizons.
Though she had a love for the career she built, her greatest love was that of her grandchildren, Porter, Ricky, and Kayla. And her great grandchildren, Coby, Kenny, Hope, Annabelle, Finley, and Presley.
Along with her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, she had a deep love for all of her nieces and nephews as well. Because Becky and her siblings had such close relationships, it was described that Jackie and her cousins grew up feeling more like siblings than they did cousins. Even through the years as families grew and lives became busier, Becky often spoke of her nieces and nephews, including the great and the great-great ones.
Though Becky had many great friends through her life, she had a special love for her two lifelong friends, Beki and Robin who both worked as CNAs with her for many years and stayed close till her final days.
Despite battling health issues in her last years of life, Becky kept her chipper and spunky attitude. From dancing and singing with great grandbabies, to flirting with male nurses and physical therapists, she kept everyone around her entertained. She made friends everywhere she went and though she wasn't afraid to speak her mind, you just couldn't help but love her once you met her.
