Richard "Rick" Russell Meyer

He was born on March 27, 1954 in Waupun, WI to Ruth and Russell Meyer. On January 18, 1992, he married Karen Jernigan in Porterville, CA. While there he attended Porterville College earning his certification in Human Services and Gerontology Studies. Once he became certified he obtained State certification through CAADE. He worked numerous places, including Corcoran SATF II and Tulare County Health and Human Services. He later moved to Visalia where he was an Addictions Treatment Specialist at Trinity Ministries and Pride Ranch Group Home.

Rick is survived by his wife, Karen Meyer of Visalia, his son, Kyle Meyer of Visalia, his stepdaughter, Tiffany Turner of Fresno, his only grandchild, Malakai Turner of Fresno, his sister, Roshell Holland of Washington, his sister, Ranee Meyer of Wisconsin, and his brother, Rory “Rocky” Meyer of Wisconsin.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 4 – 7 pm at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Ave in Visalia. Services will be held Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 11 am at Miller Memorial Chapel of Visalia.
