Richard Sanfilippo died in the late evening at his home on January 6th in Visalia, California, the town where he had lived most of his life. He was nearly 52. He was preceded in death by his father Richard, aunt Denise, brother Dameron, and daughter Logan. He is survived by his parents; Cynthia and Rick, his brothers; Alex, Shane, and Justin, his sisters; Tony and Courtney, his nieces; Brooke, Fallyn, Reece, Rhiannon, and Cameron, his nephews; Noah and Case, and his daughter; Veronica. As a young man he was a sports photojournalist, but he became an accomplished telecommunications worker, having managed all of Tulare county and more for the largest telecommunications company in California. His passions lay with sports such as football, skateboarding, golf, and surfing. He loved all wildlife, especially birds, cats, his dog Larry, fungi, and the river. Photography was always a major force in his life, and he was always taking pictures of his aforementioned hobbies.
His service will be held at Miller's Memorial in Visalia, California at 10am on January 24th.
