Rita Prisco

Rita was born in Naples, Italy on June 1, 1930 to Giacinto and Giuseppina D’Antonio. She married Ralph Prisco on October 1, 1953. They came to the United States in 1959, settling in New Jersey. In 1987 they moved to Visalia. Rita was a homemaker, raising five children. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Visalia. Rita was a member of Enrico Caruso Lodge #1463 for many years. Ralph preceded her in death on June 19, 2006. She loved to sew, play cards with her family, reading, and cooking.

Rita was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother; granddaughter, Angelica and grandson, Dennis; three brother-in-laws and one sister-in-law.

Rita is survived by her children, Sue (Ralph) Arbitelle, Marie (Kevin) Bell, Rosette (Mark) Nordbrock, Salvatore Prisco, and Anthony Prisco, six grandchildren, Melanie and husband Greg, Shawn, Amanda, Andrew, Marissa, Rosa Mitchell, five great grandchildren, Clarrisa, Jason, Abigail, Bella Rose and Jonathan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 3 – 6 pm followed by Recitation of Rosary at 6 at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 608 N. Church Street in Visalia, California. Burial will follow at Visalia Cemetery.
