

Robert was born September 28, 1930 in Visalia, California to John Jacob (J.J.) and Anna Simon; he passed away March 22, 2012 in Visalia, California.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Helen Simon of 58 ½ years; daughter, Terri and husband Mike Buford of Visalia; son, Robert and Ludevina Simon of Tulare; brothers, Conrad and Eleanor Simon of Visalia, CA, George and Delores Simon of Visalia, CA, Richard and Faye Simon of Visalia, CA; sister, Margaret Baty of Visalia, CA; sister-in-laws Betty Simon and Donna Simon of Visalia, CA; along with six grandchildren, Trisha and Eric Sapien, Mike Buford Jr., Nicholas and Katrina Simon, Ashley Simon and four great grandchildren, Reece, Carson, Olivia and Ayden
Robert was preceded in death by his parents J.J. and Anna Simon; sisters, Anne, Louise, and Freida, and brothers, Jack and Carl
Robert worked for the family business Simon Trucking for most of his life, he retired when he was 62 and then went back to work for Dunn’s trucking till he was 75 and officially retired then. Robert served in the Army in the Korean War as a Corporal and was given a purple heart. He was a member of the Moose Lodge for over 55 years and he bowled for over 40 years. Robert enjoyed celebrating birthdays of and with his family and friends. He also enjoyed telling people he was the youngest of 10 children.
