Ronnie Frank Wallace, 80, of Tulare, California, passed away on October 12, 2026. He was born on June 17, 1946. A beloved and cherished husband, father, and friend, Ronnie will be remembered with deep respect and lasting gratitude by all who had the privilege to know him.
Ronnie graduated from Strathmore High School and went on to serve in the United States Army, fighting in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967 with Bravo Co 3/22 IRVF, guided by the motto “Deeds Not Words.” His bravery and faithful sense of duty were matched by a steady, honest character—one that showed itself not in grand claims, but in the dependable way he lived and served.
A hard-working man throughout his life, Ronnie drove big trucks as early as his high school years and returned to that work off and on until around 2006, including driving truck for Don Rowell in Lindsay. From 1987 to 2005, he worked at strathmore Public Utility District, where his devotion and reliability were evident in the daily effort he gave and the care he took in doing things the right way.
In 1968, Ronnie married Virginia (Sue) Ramos, and together they shared 58 years of marriage. He was a devoted and loyal partner, a proud father to two sons, Ronald Darin Wallace and Craig Nathan Wallace, and a grandfather of six and great grandfather of nine. His love for his family was steady and selfless—he was the kind of man who would do anything for anyone, and he did so with thoughtful generosity and a kind heart.
Ronnie found joy in the simple pleasures that made life rich. He loved to go golfing anytime, anywhere, and he especially treasured the chance to golf in Hawaii while on vacation. He also enjoyed driving his RV and traveled across the United States for about 10 years. He and his wife, Sue, traveled extensively together in their RV to multiple states, building memories through the miles—often accompanied by Ronnie’s warm humor and easy companionship.
Ronnie was also connected to his community through the VFW and was a Faith Baptist Church member in the past. His compassionate spirit, giving nature, and quiet strength formed a legacy that will remain in the lives he touched.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Bristol Hospice and Diamond Terraces for their care of Ron in his last few months.
Ronnie will be missed by all that knew him, and his loving, giving nature.
