Rose Mary Murphy

She moved from Oklahoma to Selma, California in time to attend and graduate from Selma High School in 1956. She married and had three children: Randy, Deborah, and Sheryl. The family lived in Tulare for many years.

Rose Mary received her BS degree in education at the University of San Francisco. She worked for the Tulare City Schools for many years, most recently, before she retired, as the director of the Tulare Adult Activities Center for developmentally disabled adults.

After retiring, mom enjoyed travels with her husband, William (Bill) Murphy to various places around the world. Mom was passionate about Jesus. She was a lifetime member of the Assembly of God Church. Mom made many friends throughout her life in both her careers, neighborhood, church, and just about anywhere she went. Her greatest joy was being mother to her three children, and grandmother to her four grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband William Murphy. She is survived by her three children: Randy Sligar, Deborah Dwelle (Steve), and Sheryl Bardini (Bruce), as well as her four grandchildren: Michaela Warren (Braden), Amanda Baxter, Derek Bardini, and Rebecca Bardini. She also is survived by two great grandsons: Ephraim and Dathan Warren.

Rose Mary was much loved, and she will be missed.
