Rosie was born on January 31, 1945, in Vacaville, California, to Evert and Viola (Hamilton) Aldridge. She joined her older sister, Joyce, who would become her lifelong best friend.
During her early childhood, Rosie moved with her family to Tulare County, where she attended local schools and eventually graduated from Tulare Union High School. Shortly after graduation, Rosie married her high school sweetheart, Patrick “Pat” Dugan. In 1969, they welcomed their son, Darrin, who remained an important and beloved part of Rosie’s life throughout the years.
In 1982, Rosie married Russell Eugene Gott, and together they shared many years filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Rosie found happiness in the simple things she loved most. She enjoyed camping at Huntington Lake, spending time fishing, and tending to her garden. Classic country music was never far away and could often be heard playing in the background. Above all, Rosie treasured the time she spent with her family and the people closest to her.
Rosie is survived by her son, Darrin Dugan and his wife, Kera; her grandchildren, Felicity Hernandez and fiancé Nik, Deanna Overton and husband Michael, Chalysa Burleson, Brandon Dugan, and Morgan Dugan; and her great-grandchildren, Anlynn Littles, Arlo Burleson, and Finch Overton.
She is also survived by her nephew, Terry McClure and his wife, Ingrid; nephew-in-law, Tony Ramos; great-nephews and niece, Clint McClure and wife Melissa, Kyler McClure and wife Heather, Kamryn McClure, Tanna Mae Sweeney and husband Jace, and TJ Ramos; sister-in-law, Annita Fortner and husband Frank; as well as other members of the Gott family and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Rosie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell Eugene Gott; her parents, Evert and Viola Aldridge; her sister and lifelong best friend, Joyce McClure; her brother-in-law, Jerry McClure; and her niece, Tammy Ramos.
Rosie will be remembered for the life she shared with those she loved, the memories made around campfires and fishing trips, the beauty she found in her garden, and the familiar sound of classic country music. Most of all, she will be remembered for the love she gave her family and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her. Her memory will live on through her family and the many lives she touched.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Tulare Public Cemetery North, 4572 J Street, Tulare, CA.
