Ruth Minnie Ferrell

After several years of failing health, Ruth went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 2, 2011 at the age of 76.

"Minnie" as many of her family knows her as, was the daughter of Roy and Helen Allen. She was raised in Visalia and that is where she met and married her late husband of 51 years, Ray Ferrell.

She was a loving, caring, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was the best friend anyone could ask for. But most of all she loved the Lord. And even in her last two very difficult weeks of her life, she showed grace, dignity and strengh that will forever be part of those around her.

She is survived by her daughters Carolyn Moore of Los Banos, Brenda Hurtado of Tulare and Kim Hinojos of Visalia. Grandchildren Honey Garibaldi, Shawn Mulock, Peter Martinez Jr., Marty Hogue, Robin Martinez, Megan Hinojos, Makayla Hinojos and 14 great grandchildren. Her brother Walter Allen of Visalia, sisters Dorothy Owen of Marion, Oregon and Pat Borley of Redmond, Oregon.

The family would like to express speacial thanks to Dr. James Foxe, Dr. William Winn, the staff at Kaweah Delta Endo Lab and 2 North. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 10:00am followed by Graveside Services at 11:00am
