Teena Kathleen White

Teena Kathleen White, aged 62, passed away on October 5, 2023, in Visalia, California. She was born on October 7, 1960, in Corsicana, Texas, to her parents Billie Marsha Harris and Nobel Harris. Teena's life was a journey that took her from Texas to Hollister to Exeter and eventually settling in Visalia, California where she made her home. Throughout Teena’s life she proved time and time again that despite hardships and troubles, she was a woman of strength and character.

Teena is survived by three grandsons, Jasper, Arlen, and Duncan, and her daughter, Shannon and son-in-law, Mark. She enjoyed spending her weekends helping her grandsons cultivate their interests and deepening connections with the ones she loved. Her friends and family knew she would do anything for her grandsons, knowing they were her love and her legacy. Her presence in their lives was cherished and will be deeply missed.

Teena was an avid antiqueer. She had an eye for identifying collectables and enjoyed the search for treasures at local yard and estate sales. This developed into a career with the love of her life, Richard White, and together they ran White's Antiques, an antique store in downtown Visalia. Following Richard's passing, she found love once again with Art Martinez, who kept up with her in her passion for being with family and socializing with friends.

The service to commemorate Teena's life will be held on October 20, 2023, at 1:30 PM at Miller Memorial Chapel in Visalia, California. Friends and family are welcome to attend to pay their respects and bid their farewells. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends bring written memories to share that will be treasured by the family for years to come. Teena Kathleen White's memory will continue to live on through those who knew her.
