Terryl Lynn Garrett

Terry and her parents, along with her brother, Greg and sister, Linda moved to California where Terry eventually attended Fresno State and San Francisco State. She received three Master’s degrees in the field of education.

Terry married Ed Ward and they were blessed with two children, Eric and Disa. Ed and Eric have preceded Terry in death, along with her parents.

On June 10th, 1978 Terry married Jim Garrett and the family of four was complete.

Terry was a highly respected educator in Tulare County whose career spanned from the early 70’s to approximately 2018. She worked within many capacities from Home Economics to Director of secondary education for Visalia Unified School District and Administrator for Brandman University. Her loving capabilities touched the lives of many children. She was a mentor to many young educators whose careers continue to reflect her loving and capable touch.

Terry is survived by: Jim, her husband of 45 years and her daughter, Disa. As well as her sister, Linda (Tim) and son Hart and their family, Greg (Sally) and Greg Jr. and Jason, and her nephew, Jerry and sister-in-law, Rebecca. Along with a village of friends and colleagues. They will all miss Terry’s brilliant, quick wit and beautiful smile.
