William P. Aldaco (Bill, Willie, Guillermo) was born in Artesia, New Mexico on November 8, 1930 to Sabas and Maria Padilla Aldaco. He passed away on Saturday, October 2-, 2018 in Visalia, California at the age of 87.
His family moved to Tulare when he was a teenager, where he attended and graduated from Tulare Union High School. Shortly after graduation, Bill entered the United State Navy, serving until 1952. Following his discharge he moved to San Francisco, California where he completed his education at the University of San Francisco, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business. Bill returned to Tulare to marry the love of his life, Vera DeAnda in 1957. They moved to San Francisco, California to settle down and raise their only child, daughter Rita. The family traveled extensively overseas and lived abroad for several years with Bill’s job. He enjoyed SCUBA Diving (and was actually an instructor), golfing, bicycling, camping, reading, spending time with family and had a passion for history. Bill’s family brought him great joy and he embraced each one with love. Everyone he met was a friend; he had an engaging smile and was compassionate and had a great sense of humor. Bill was an all-around good guy - - - a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vera on her birthday in 2010, and by five siblings Mark Aldaco, Sr., Lupe Aldaco, Mickey Rodriguez and Frances Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted daughter, Rita Ensign and husband, Eric of Sacramento, CA; brother Ronnie Aldaco, and sister-in-law Sally Aldaco Morris of Visalia; his loving partner, Betty Martinho of Tulare, CA; two grandchildren, Jennifer Fowler and husband Andrew and their daughter Arabella James Fowler of Colorado Springs, CO; and Nicholas Cody of San Mateo, CA. He also leaves many nieces and nephews whom he adored, Betty’s family who he lovingly embraced, and many longtime friends whom he treasured through the years.
