I met Artie on a few occasions. I remember feeling that she really cared what I had to say & was truly interested. She made me feel welcome. It wasn't just pleasantries.
She is a special lady and her passing is very sad.
Love & healing to her many family members, she is so loved.
Her maiden name is the same as my married name. I felt connected to her.

Mike and I send our condolences to the Cordell family. We enjoyed Miss Artie's company so much. She never met a stranger and treated everyone like family. She was special to us because she treated us like we were special. I remember the time I had the privilege of sitting on the sofa between Miss Artie and Gene's mom at a family baby shower and I enjoyed listening to their stories and hearing their laughter so much that I was sure my mom and this wonderful, sweet, friendly, spunky and witty lady would have a lot in common and enjoy each other's company. This led to other fun memories of when Patty and I took our mom's on outings, little road trips, lunches and dinners out. It was a wonderful experience which Patty and I enjoyed as much as our moms did to hear our moms sharing stories, experiences and laughter like young girls in the back seat as we went off for another little adventure.
