Bonnie,Mechelle and Family,
I have started this entry several times, but the words never seem to come out the way I want them to. Benny gave the okay to hire me at USC in 1989 and has been my dear friend ever since.I miss him coming in my office and sitting down to ask if Jamie and I are okay and just chat. I loved him very much, as I do you. I pray that you will feel God's hands on your shoulders, helping you get through your time of sorrow. Remember, we are here for you anytime we can help, honestly.

 I was saddened by the news of Benny's passing, I know that he is in a better place.  The last time we spoke he told me that he was ready for Heaven, and confirmed his salvation to me over the phone.  I was out of town and missed the service, but I heard that it was great, so well deserving of such a wonderful individual.  Benny will be missed, he was always so willing to help anybody out.  I was lucky enough to work with him at USC for over 20 years.  During that time I found out what a superb man he was, he always told such funny and  great stories.  He  once said that during your life if you had 2-5 friends you were a blessed person, I know for a fact the Benny was a very blessed person. May God's Holy Spirit wrap his arms around you and your family during these next few months.  Psalm 116:15

Marilyn ("Sis"), I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your brother but my first thoughts when you called were that your parents would be standing at the pearly gates welcoming him to heaven and giving him the grand tour.  I bet your dad has already picked out a fishing hole!

Then I read the obituary and realized his daughter was also there...what a beautiful thought to know his suffering on earth has ended and he has been reunited with family and that we will also see him again some day but until then...just keep holding to God's unchanging hand.  Let him comfort you during your darkest hours and let Him give you that peace that only He can give.  

I met Benny on a few occasions at your mother's house and I will remember his sweet spirit.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and holding you close to my heart.  Gone but not forgotten...hold tight to the memories!  Take care and God bless and remember I am here for you!  Love you to the moon and back! (Psalm 116:15)

So sorry to hear of Benny's death.  He was a great friend and co-worker during my days at the University of South Carolina. I shall always remember his kindness and willing to help anyone. 

We will all miss this dear friend.
