Dean Baltzigar Anderson

COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Dean Baltzigar Anderson, 74, of Columbia will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Anderson was born December 2, 1944 in Salley, SC to the late, Colie Baltzigar and Eula Mae Chavis Batzigar and she passed away March 1, 2018. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Columbia. She retired from the Department of Education as a Dietician. She graduated Winthrop University with a Master’s degree. Dean was a Major in the United States Army reserve. She is survived by her sons, Edward Lynn Derby, Stanley Eugene Davis (Rhonda), Chris Anderson (Rebecca) and Chuck Anderson (Reid) all of Lexington; daughter, Amy Vickers (Mike) of Irmo and 13 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Anderson, III, and her parents. Memorials may be sent to Agape Hospice House, 141 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
