WEST COLUMBIA – A memorial service for Donna Joann Hazzard, 86, will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jimmy V. Cancer Foundation, 106 Towerview Court, Cary, NC 27513 or to the Salvation Army, 2025 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
Mrs. Hazzard was born July 20, 1926 and passed away suddenly on Monday, December 3, 2012. She was a daughter of the late Walter L. Bardsley and Marie Hisey Bardsley. Mrs. Hazzard was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star in Kokomo, IN. She was employed by the U. S. Government in Public Relations. Mrs. Hazzard was married 64 years to the late William Hazzard who joined his Heavenly Father on November 15, 2012.
Mrs. Hazzard is survived by her son, Bard Hazzard and his wife, Sandra of West Columbia and sister, Beverly Broker and husband, Richard of Kokomo, IN.
