WEST COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Donnie K. Sox, 84, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers are, Billy Grooms, Oscar Kennedy, Leon Gleaton, Randy Stewart and Gilbert.
Mr. Sox was born January 3, 1933 in West Columbia, SC and passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017. He was a son of the late E.C. Sox and Moultrie Mathias Sox. He worked in management for Mt. Vernon Mills and was a baseball coach for little league for 18 years in West Columbia.
Surviving are his loving wife of 45 years, Carolyn J. Sox; children, Wally (Denise), Scottie, Tammy, Vicki, Larry, Anita (Jon), Scott (Betty Jo), Melody (Tommy); 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; lifelong friend, Willie Butler and his beloved dog “Sparky”. He was predeceased by a sister, Helen and brother, Harry.
