Evelyn Ann Cook

Evelyn Ann Cook, 84, was born September 2, 1937 in Bowman, SC and passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Sampson Utsey and Evelyn Huff Wiles. Mrs. Cook enjoyed tending her flower gardens and vegetable garden, reading, cooking and sewing. She loved and cherished her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, time spent at the beach, and hosting family and friends in her home.

She is survived by her daughters, Sally Bigleman and Connie Mosteller; son, Michael D. Cook (Christie); grandsons, Aaron Bigleman, Scott Bigleman (Caroline), Joshua D. Mosteller (Charley), Justin Mosteller, R. Michael Cook, H. David Cook; granddaughters, Jessica Mosteller, Natalie Cook; great granddaughters, Haley Bigleman and Keira Roberson; great grandson, Joshua C. Mosteller; sister-in-law, Johnnie Ree Stearman and cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd D. Cook.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the health care staff and physicians at National Health Care – Lexington for their many years of exemplary, compassionate care and attention given to Mrs. Cook as well as to Abbey Road Hospice for the comfort care they provided. The family also acknowledges with heartfelt appreciation the love of the church family of West Side Baptist Church and the many friends and visitors that have faithfully ministered to Mrs. Cook throughout the years of her convalescence.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. Memorials may be made to West Side Baptist Church, 2100 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC 29169 or online at
