Born on December 28, 1930, in Bowman, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Carter and Pearl Wannamaker Weathers. She was predeceased by the love of her life, and husband of 68 years, Noel Kyle Yobs.
Faye will continue to live through her children who survive her: Patty Cawrse (Len), Peggy Yobs (Mary), Larry Yobs (Susan) and Karen Newton (Art); her six grandchildren: Robert Cawrse (Jill), Ken Newton (Leslie), Jason Cawrse (Corinne), Stacey Newton (Traci), Kyle Yobs (Jessica) and Jamie Vaughn (Clayton); and her ten great-grandchildren: Kayedyn and McKinnon Newton, Nolan, Henry and Austin Cawrse, Silas Bailey-Newton, Cooper and Emily Vaughn, and Grayson and Noah Yobs.
With Noel always by her side, Faye’s greatest joy in life was raising her four children, and she did so with grace and never-ending love. After her children were grown, she continued loving and caring for each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren! Faye was always ready to provide the best homemade meals whenever there was a need of any kind. Her homemade pimento cheese and pound cakes were favorite requests from family and friends. When Noel retired, he asked her to make her famous pound cake as the dessert for his retirement party. She happily got busy making 31 pound cakes, which were enjoyed by everyone.
