LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Franklin Delano Howell, 79, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Laurel Baptist Church with entombment in Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The services will be conducted by Pastor Steve Kittrell. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel.
Mr. Howell was born on November 24, 1933 and passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013. He was the son of the late Berley Howell and Rachel Daily Howell. Mr. Howell was a member of Laurel Baptist Church. Mr. Howell retired from the Air Force and loved fishing and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Howell of Lexington, SC; son, Mike Howell of Pelion, SC; daughter, Robin Deweese (Michael) of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Daniel Deweese, Zarah Newton (J.D.), Tony Howell, Donnie Howell and Crystal Howell; great-grandchildren, Niko Newton and Pepper Lupe Newton; brothers, Charles, Everage, Paul and Tim Howell; sisters, Loretta Mann, Emma Amos, Juanita Conyers and his dog, Zeus. Mr. Howell was predeceased by his son, Ricky Howell.
