PELION – Funeral services for George E. Williams, 80, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with interment to follow in Southland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Larry Jones will conduct the service. Active Pallbearers will be Tommy, Ricky, and Randy Craft, Clint Lucas, Roger M. Jeffcoat and Jerry Jeffcoat. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday March 3, 2012 at the funeral home chapel.
Mr. Williams was born June 20, 1931 in Orangeburg County, SC and passed away on February 29, 2012. He was a son of the late George E. Williams, Sr. and Jane Laruth Gartman Williams.
Mr. Williams is survived by his daughters, Pamela Lucas and her husband Noah Lucas of Lexington; Tammy Williams and fiancé, Cyril Allen of Pelion; grandchildren, Jessica Monts and her husband, Scott, Mike Hutto and his wife, Sommer and Justin Smothers; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Zellie Mae Mack, Maxine Craft and brother, Audrey Williams all of Swansea.
