Glen Lamar Wright of Lexington, South Carolina, passed to his eternal home on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Glen was born on May 26, 1945, in Anderson, Indiana to Fred David and Carrie (Householder) Wright.
Glen is survived by his wife, Linda (Young) Wright and daughter and son-in-law, Joanne (Paul) Fox; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Michael) Vause, P.J. Fox, and Andrew (Melanie) Fox; also, great-granddaughter, Charlotte Fox; great-grandson, Tomorrow Vause; nephews, Rick (Victoria) Raines and George Arnold Raines; niece, Brenda Diane Raines; and great-niece, Amanda (Matthew) Hardin. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Bonnie (Wright) Raines and great niece, Erin (Raines) Watson.
Glen honorably served in the US Air Force and was stationed in Bangor, Maine and Knob Noster, Missouri. After being discharged from the Air Force, he and his family returned to Indiana where they lived until moving to South Carolina. He was a retiree of General Motors Corp.
In his younger years Glen enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping and riding his Harley Davidson. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and loved volunteering his time for various projects in the church they attended in whichever state they lived.
A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at the Central Church of the Nazarene, 100 South Woodside Parkway, West Columbia, SC 29170. Service time is 11:00 AM with a time of visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Ft. Jackson Memorial Cemetery.
