JJ and I would like to tell you how sorry we are for the loss of Harvey. We had the pleasure of meeting him a couple times.

I also did not Know this Stevens related man. I knew his ancestors well via research. He has an ancestor very long ago with Welsh ancestry that mirgrated up to Scots-Irish lands before the immigrant came to USA in a Northern state. His USA ancestors were hard working farming and business leaders such as The John Thomas Stevens we just returned from researching in Kershaw, SC.

My cousin Linda Stephens Collins likes to compare a picture of someone with our Stephens features and Mr Stevens has those same line features in his face.

I did not personally know Mr. Stevens but I would like to express my condolences to the family.  Dr. Daniel Blackman advised me of the passing of Mr. Stevens.  I met Dr. Blackwell when we visiting Lancaster County on a family history search.  He advised that Mr. Stevens was a relative of John T. Stevens of Lancaster, a relative of ours.  So we are related in a sense, and also related to the Horry County Stevens clan through DNA.

Our clan would like to express our sympathy since it is likely that Mr. Stevens was a wonderful man with strong family values.
