

LEXINGTON – Hazel Dooley Kyzer, 92, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 14, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, 820
West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170 with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home Chapel.
Hazel was born September 7, 1922 in Lexington County, Lexington, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late Newton Tillman and Dewreaner Frye Dooley. She was the Godly wife of the late Genous Odell Kyzer for 71 years, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Kyzer was a lifelong resident of Lexington and will be missed by many dear friends. She was a faithful member of New Covenant Church and a longtime member of TOPS winning many of the highest awards. Hazel retired from the Lexington School District 1 and worked for many years at Porky D’s Restaurant.
Surviving are her daughter, Helen Loving (Rev. Billy) of Laurinburg, NC; sons, Tillman (Melissa) Kyzer, Wesley (Mary) Kyzer and Rev. Richard (Angela) Kyzer all of Lexington, SC; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Bruce Dooley Rikard and numerous nieces and nephews.
