WEST COLUMBIA – A funeral service for Jan P. Glott, 82, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with burial in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service in the chapel.
Mr. Glott was born April 19, 1933 in Oslo, Norway to the late Reidar and Gunvor Glott and passed away May 7, 2015. He completed 16 years of schooling and earned a degree in Business and Language. He retired as assistant to the Vice President of Phillip Morris International as Advertising and Marketing Director. Always warm and engaging, Mr. Glott made many friends during the years he owned and operated Action Graphics, a printing business in Triangle City, West Columbia. He served on the Board of Directors for the Cayce and West Columbia Rotary Club and was a Commercial Pilot. Mr. Glott served our country in the United States Army. He was a member of the North Columbia Church of Christ, and will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Chloae Jean Glott; children, Jan G. Glott of Chapin and Janine Harcourt of Lexington; six grandchildren, and a sister, Jannicke Aarli of Norway.
