LEXINGTON – JoAnn Jeffcoat Boone, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and best friend Monday, July 29, 2019. Memorial services will be Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Red Bank Baptist Church in Lexington, SC at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Born in North, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Ann Lou Harley Jeffcoat. Surviving are her children, Jimmy Boone (Sarah), Ann Sharpe (Beau Dixon), Patricia Hammons (Jasen), Clark Boone (Sandra); 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Also, one sister, Rebecca Calvitt; brother-in-law, Jerry Boone (Shirley), sisters-in-law, Sarah Roof and Catherine Looper, numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters. Mom cherished her family, church family, cooking, making pound cakes for friends, quilting and crafting. She will truly be missed. Her smile would light up a room! The family would like to thank Compassionate Care nurses Brandi, Kim, Tiffany, and Brooke. Also, Dr. Terrence Day and staff and Julie Blaire at MUSC, Dr. James Leroy Wells of Lexington Oncology, who kept our mother here for so many years! In lieu of flowers, donations in JoAnn's memory can be made to Red Bank Baptist Church Building Fund or the Men's Ministry, 1357 South Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29073.

Ann, Jimmy, Patricia and Clark, I have been thinking of you all during this very difficult time in your life. I have very fond memories of your Mom. I have many good memories of time spent with Aunt JoAnn. From the family reunions in childhood to the occasional visit after I moved away Aunt JoAnn always had a smile and hug for me and even an offer of a tasty treat. Her expressions of love will always be with me.
