CAYCE – Funeral service for John E. Myers, 81 of Cayce, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
John was born April 9, 1936 in Birmingham, AL to and the late, Earl Myers and Virgie Edgeworth Myers. He passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018. He was a member and Deacon of Trinity Baptist Church, a former Mason; on the board of the American Welding Society, and secretary of Edenwood Swim Club. He was a retired Quality Control Manager with Owen Steel for 30 plus years.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Hardeman Myers of Cayce; daughter, Jennifer Williams (Steve) of West Columbia; granddaughter, Haley Williams of West Columbia and brother, Earl Myers of McDonough, GA. John was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Ann Myers, sister, Josephine Harris and a brother, Kenneth Meyers.
