WEST COLUMBIA – John Lewis Stroman, 89, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014. He was a son of the late John D. Stroman and Mettie W. Stroman. John served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Springdale Baptist Church where he was an active member of the Stewardship Sunday School Class and served as a Deacon and Trustee. He was an active member of the Senior Citizens Pacesetters.
Surviving are his wife, Vernese Williams Stroman; daughter, Joan S. Harris; son, Johnny H. Stroman (Joan); grandchildren, Julie S. Yarborough (Jason), Janea Sweet, Michelle DiEduardo (Kyle) and John Stroman; great-grandchildren, Kenneth, Reese and Kyler Yarborough and Stella and Bailey DiEduardo; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Springdale Baptist Church with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
