ORANGEBURG – A graveside service for Joyce S. Schwartz, 71, formerly of West Columbia, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 140 Stoneridge Dr. Ste. 210, Columbia, SC 29210.
Mrs. Schwartz was born September 19, 1943 in Columbia SC and passed away Friday, July 24, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Summer and Gwendolyn Cartin Summer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Columbia and retired from the City of West Columbia Town Hall.
She is survived by her husband, David Schwartz, Sr.; sons, Kenneth G. Schwartz, Robert D. Schwartz, Jr. and Kevin J. Schwartz; grandchildren, Jason, Derrick and Jeremy Schwartz; two great-grandchildren and sisters, Linda Richardson, Janet Morrow and Angela Smith.
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home West Columbia Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
