June Yates Seybt, age 95, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at NHC Lexington. Born in Griffin, Georgia, she was the daughter of Wylie Yates and Audrey Adkins Yates. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy D. Seybt; her parents and siblings, W. L. Yates, Paul Yates, and May Taylor.
She is survived by her son, Tim Seybt and daughters, Angela Owens (Larry) and Wylette Barnett (Eddie); seven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation and viewing will be Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the Chapel of Hope Mausoleum at 700 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia from 11:00 - 11:45 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 12 o’clock for family and friends with Chaplain (Colonel) Eddie Barnett (USA, RET) presiding.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Eric Owens, Paul Seybt, Christopher Corley, and great-grandsons, Sebastian Daniels, Constantine Daniels, and Xavier Daniels.
The family wishes to thank all of the doctors, nurses and caregivers who cared for her during the four and a half years she was at NHC Lexington, and also thank you to Abby Road Hospice.
