Kathy was born into a military family at Fort Belvoir before they settled down in Columbia, SC, where she lived the most of her life. She was always sociable and never met a person she couldn’t spark a conversation with.
Kathy leaves behind a legacy that includes her husband, Kyle; her children, Justin, Shane, and Kaitlyn; her eight grandchildren; and by her mother, Sandra. She was predeceased by her father, Ronald.
Though she has lost her fight with cancer, her memories will far outlive that illness. She finished her life in the service industry where she had many regulars that she laughed and loved with. She was a fierce woman who was protective of her family from the beginning to the end. Anyone who knew Kathy will have a fond memory of her to reflect on and celebrate her amazing life.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at 1:00 P.M.
