Katy was born and raised in Buffalo, NY on February 22, 1974. She moved to Gaston, SC in 1998 with her husband and daughter. Katy is survived by husband, Mark Madigan; one daughter, Miranda (Robert) McIntosh; one granddaughter, Brooklyn McIntosh; one sister, Teresa (Tommy) Viverette; one brother, Thomas (Becky) Wheeler; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judyann (Dave) Meisner; father, Thomas P. Wheeler; and two sisters, Pollyann Costello and Melissa Ketterer.
She made friends with everyone everywhere she went. She made everyone smile and was always happy. She loved afternoon coffee on the porch after work with her husband Mark, catching up on their day. She loved spending time with her granddaughter in person and on FaceTime, taking selfies, watching Sunday football cheering on the Greenbay Packers and Buffalo Bills, and shopping at stores and online. She grew a love for spending time in the mountains frequently going on vacation with her husband and extended family.
A visitation for Katy will be held Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - West Columbia Chapel, 820 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, South Carolina 29170, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM.
