LEXINGTON – Kyrstin Star Blackburn, 20, of Lexington passed away Monday, May 28, 2018. She was born December 26, 1997 in West Columbia to Monica Whitt Barnes and Billy Joe Blackburn. Surviving are her parents; sister, Tiffany Barnes and Alexis Blackburn; grandparents, William “Bill” Wilson, Jr., Kelly Blackburn and Linda Morgan a very special niece “Lily Bug” and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by a grandmother, Joyce Ann Wilson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for 12:00 until 2:00 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas PL., Memphis, TN 38105

Monica,Tiffany and Lexi I can only imagine the pain and heartache. The times I was around you girls Star always made everyone laugh. Never seen nor any pics that she wasn't laughing and smiling. She is now just dancing ,laughing and looking down saying free no more pain no more grief live life and enjoy it. Tomorrow is not promised. Mitchell,Jazzy and I send our love to you all and prayers. Kyrstin was like a daughter to.meand a sister to.my daughter..she was one of the most amazing loving caring and certainly strongest person I've ever met.she adored her mother (monica) I used to say they looked like sisters .her sisters tiffany and Lexi were everything to her.the 3 as close as any sisters could be.and her niece Lilly bug was her heart.words can't describe the amount of pain loss sadness and confusion I feel.i wish I could Take away all the pain that Monica and the girls are feeling..i called her by her middle name star alot.amd I'm convinced the world now has the brightest and most beautiful star shining over.heaven is a better place with her there.i love n miss you kiddo.please be at peace and know you meant the world to all of us that love you..xo

The Gilbert class of 2016 always knew when kyrstin was around she loved making everyone laugh in so many ways with her personality , she really cared for her friends and most of us knew her because when something was wrong she was there to listen kyrstin was more then a friend to a lot of us in the class of 2016 we feel as if we lost a sister that cant be replaced, but we all know that you are in a better place and you will always be our sister that kept us going . we love you kyrstin and fly high baby girl . To miss.Barnes , tiff and Lexi we are all her for you guys and we are continuing to pray for you guys

Kyrstin and the good lord above please wrap your loving arms around all the family and friends that you left behind, especially your momma, Tiffany, Lexi, and Dustin Hopkins to get us all through this difficult time and trying days ahead. Kyrstin this news has hit him harder than he thought and his poor heart is broken into. We were actually sharing a lot of great memories with you guys these last few days that brought both smiles and tears. We are still waiting for someone to wake us up from this bad dream to only realize that it's not a dream. Our hearts have been sooooo broken since getting this news but you are now our shining star, you are now in paradise babygirl. We are left here to pick up the pieces and to keep your memories lived on through each of us. You may be gone from this earth but you will never be forgotten Kyrstin Star!!! Dustin Hopkins, myself, Robbie Rouse, Austin Hopkins, and Shayna Asbill will always love you babygirl and will miss you soooooo much!!! Heaven is having one celebration tonight for sure and we know you are the main star of that celebration.

Monica, Tiffany, and Lexi our hearts are breaking for you guys and cannot even begin to imagine what y'all are going through. Just know Kyrstin & the good lord above is with y'all every step of the way! Y'all will get the answers that y'all need to get through the trying days that y'all are left with. We are always here for you guys!
