WEST COLUMBIA – Funeral service for Lawrence Dale Amos, 73 of West Columbia, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to United Hospice, 903 Elmwood Ave. Ste A, Columbia, SC 29201.
Lawrence was born July 23, 1940 in Washington PA to the late, Dewey Amos and Ruth Hanam Amos and passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014.
He was a Canteen Operator for the South Carolina Blind Association. He enjoyed watching football especially the Gamecocks and Steelers.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Shirley Amos; sons, Robin, Ricky and Junior; daughters, Debbie and Barbara; brother, James; sister Jean; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Duane and sisters, Janice and Ruby.
