GASTON – Funeral services for Mevelin Foch Barber, Jr., 66 of Gaston will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Barber was born May 31, 1951 in Columbia, SC and passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017. He was the son of Mevelin Foch Barber, Sr. and Doris Barber. He played the guitar and loved music. Surviving is his wife, Helen L. Barber of Gaston; sons, Christopher Lee Barber (Kristen) of Columbia and Robert M. Barber of Chapin; grandchildren, Tessa, Lucas, Tyler, Haleigh, Robert, Aiden and Taylor; sister, Deanette Ellison (Buck) and brother, Steven Barber both of Columbia.
