PELION - Orville Allen Howard, 73, of Pelion, S.C., formerly of Smith, Kentucky, passed peacefully after a lengthy illness, on December 21, 2017. Mr. Howard was born to Phoebe Jane and William Pierce Howard on April 12, 1944. Both have preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Phoebe (Rick) Smith, Abby Miller, Beverly (Jose) Magdaleno, and Gladys Moore. His grandchildren, Rickie Smith, Steven (Mandi) Smith, Michelle Howard, Wesley Craft, Michael Craft, Danielle McLaurin, Scott (Jade) McLaurin, Kenneth Moore, Kristin Moore, Kayla Moore, Kyle Moore and sixteen great grandchildren; brothers, Arthur Howard, Enos Howard, Billy Howard; sisters, Lola Newton, Carmen Smith, Pattie Smith, and Carol Lumpp, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel located at 820 W Dunbar Rd, West Columbia, S.C.
